The Buddy Davis 70 Sportfisherman is at home wherever turbulent waters are found. Smooth. Soft. Safe. Dry. All the attributes of the legendary Davis ride, only bigger. Faster. More powerful. The secret to this ride is it’s ingeniously designed bottom. Deep and narrow, it will part seas in near biblical style. Yet straight-line performance alone does not measure a true sportfisherman’s ultimate capability. Take the helm and put this boat through her paces. She’s agile. Nimble. Especially for a boat of her size. Able to back down on that marlin. And easily maneuver into that tight slip. Admired from every angle, the signature bow flare, curved tumblehome and sweeping sheer will move even the non-boater to heartfelt emotion. From the keel to the waterline, its solid fiberglass is so thick, it’s bullet proof. Above the waterline, advanced composites are used to save weight and increase rigidity. Every detail shows Davis’ personal influence. Examine the list of standard features closely, and you’ll know this remarkable vessel was meant to fish. It starts with the live baitwell, fish boxes, freezer with bait trays, transom door and more. It continues with the enclosed cockpit shower and head. And if your favorite fishing or cruising grounds include skinny water, you can opt for Davis’ shallow draft prop tunnels that reduce draft to less than 4 feet.
